Acceptable Use

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the standards of conduct and use that all Appoven users must comply with. This AUP defines what activities are prohibited when using Appoven to generate applications and code. These guidelines ensure that Appoven remains a safe, ethical, and legal platform for all users.

Appoven is currently in beta. This policy applies to all beta users and may be updated at full release. By participating in the beta, you agree to comply with this AUP as part of the Terms of Service.

2. Prohibited Uses

You are strictly prohibited from using Appoven to create, develop, or generate applications for any of the following purposes:

  1. Malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, or any other malicious code
  2. Phishing, social engineering, or deceptive applications designed to manipulate users
  3. Applications designed to infringe third-party intellectual property rights or breach confidentiality
  4. Spam tools, bulk messaging systems, or unsolicited communications
  5. Surveillance, stalking, harassment tools, or applications designed to monitor or track individuals without consent
  6. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any application that exploits, endangers, or sexualises minors
  7. Applications facilitating illegal drug trade or weapons trafficking
  8. Applications facilitating illegal gambling or circumventing gambling regulations
  9. Applications designed to discriminate based on protected characteristics including race, colour, sex, religion, national origin, disability, age, or sexual orientation
  10. Circumventing security measures, hacking tools, or unauthorised access applications
  11. Cryptocurrency mining without user knowledge or consent
  12. Adult or sexually explicit content, including AI-generated NSFW material or applications that facilitate the creation or distribution of such content
  13. Applications designed to circumvent the terms, rules, or restrictions of third-party platforms or services
  14. Fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, social proof manipulation, or review inflation tools
  15. Tools for scraping, downloading, or removing watermarks from third-party content without authorisation
  16. Unauthorised financial services, including trading bots, investment advisory tools, or applications that facilitate financial transactions without proper licensing
  17. Any application that violates applicable laws, regulations, or the rights of others

3. Regulated Industries Warning

Applications for regulated industries including healthcare, finance, legal services, and similar fields are not prohibited under this AUP. However, by choosing to use Appoven for such applications, you explicitly accept full responsibility for ensuring compliance with all applicable industry-specific regulations, licensing requirements, and professional standards. Appoven makes no representations, warranties, or assurances about the suitability of generated code for regulated industries or its compliance with industry-specific legal and regulatory frameworks.

4. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and verifying all code and applications generated by Appoven before deployment in any environment. Appoven provides tools to assist in application development but does not guarantee the quality, functionality, security, or suitability of any generated code. You must ensure that generated applications are fit for your intended purpose and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

5. Content Standards

When using Appoven, you must ensure that all prompts, descriptions, and input content do not contain offensive, defamatory, harassing, abusive, or illegal content. Your use of the platform must respect the dignity and rights of others.

6. Resource Usage

You agree to respect Appoven’s operational limits, including rate limits and usage caps. You must not attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with usage restrictions, security features, or other protective measures. You agree not to abuse or exploit Appoven’s AI features or attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or manipulate the platform in unauthorised ways.

7. Enforcement

Appoven reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. In the event of a violation, Appoven may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice:

  1. Suspend or terminate your account and access to Appoven
  2. Remove, modify, or disable content generated through Appoven
  3. Report suspected violations to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities

8. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violations of this AUP or suspect that Appoven is being used for prohibited purposes, please report this immediately to:

9. Updates to This Policy

AppSalon Pty Ltd reserves the right to modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. We will provide at least 14 days’ notice of material changes by posting the updated version on the Appoven website. Your continued use of Appoven following any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated AUP. For full details on how changes are communicated, please refer to the Terms of Service.
