Third-Party Disclosures
Last modified: April 4, 2026
Introduction
Appoven relies on a number of third-party services to deliver its platform. This notice explains which services we use, what data is shared with them, and what that means for you as a user.
Appoven is currently in beta. The third-party services listed in this document reflect our beta configuration and may change at full release. We will update this page as services are added or changed.
1. How Appoven Uses AI
Appoven is an AI-powered discovery engine that uses advanced algorithms to explore, generate, and refine code solutions. We work with multiple AI models from different providers to generate, evolve, and refine code:
- Anthropic (Claude)
- Google (Gemini)
- OpenAI (GPT models)
Our evolutionary process uses a combination of cost-effective models for rapid exploration and premium-tier models for deeper refinement. The system intelligently selects the best code variants from many possibilities, using AI to evaluate and evolve solutions toward your goals.
2. AI-Simulated User Testing
Appoven uses AI-generated simulated users to test and evaluate generated applications. This is an important distinction:
- These simulated users are entirely artificial — they are not real people.
- No real user behaviour is tracked, recorded, or profiled in this process.
- The AI-generated personas help the system understand how different interaction patterns and design decisions might work in practice.
3. No Human Review of Generated Code
Code generated by Appoven is produced entirely by artificial intelligence. The system tests code through simulated environments and continuously refines it. Code generation consumes credits from your account, whether those credits were received through the free tier, a subscription plan, or a purchased credit pack. However:
- No human being reviews, validates, or approves generated code before it is delivered to you.
- You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any code generated by Appoven before you deploy it to production.
4. What Data Is Sent to AI Providers
When you use Appoven, certain information is sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI) located in the United States. Here is what we send and what we do not send:
We Send:
- Your prompts and requests
- Documentation and specification files
- Code markdown and generated code variants
We Do Not Send:
- Your personal account information or profile details
- Payment details or billing information
- Identity documents or government-issued credentials
AI providers may retain data for abuse monitoring and safety purposes as outlined in their own privacy policies.
5. How Your Content Improves the Service
Appoven learns and improves over time through each project interaction. Here is how:
- Patterns and design principles discovered during your project are stored in our pattern library, a knowledge base of UX patterns and design insights.
- Your interactions contribute to this pattern library, which improves results for all users.
- Your specific code and prompts are not shared with other users.
- Abstract patterns and insights learned from the evolutionary process benefit future projects.
Please note: there is no opt-out for this learning process — it is fundamental to how Appoven works and how we continuously improve the service.
6. Limitations of AI-Generated Code
Artificial intelligence is powerful, but it is not perfect. AI-generated code may have limitations:
- Code may contain bugs, logic errors, or unintended behaviour.
- Security vulnerabilities or unsafe patterns may be present.
- Performance may not be optimised for your specific use case or infrastructure.
- Code may not meet accessibility standards or best practices.
- Generated code may inadvertently resemble existing copyrighted code.
- The evolutionary process optimises for criteria you define, which may not cover all real-world requirements.
We strongly recommend that you review, test, and validate all generated code thoroughly before deployment — especially for regulated, safety-critical, or production applications.
7. Infrastructure and Hosting
Appoven’s platform is hosted and powered by the following third-party infrastructure providers:
- Hetzner Online GmbH — Cloud hosting and server infrastructure, located in Germany. Hetzner provides the physical servers on which Appoven runs. Your project data and account information are stored on Hetzner infrastructure.
- RunPod — GPU compute infrastructure, located in the United States. RunPod provides the GPU resources used by Appoven for AI processing tasks as part of the code generation and evolution pipeline. Your prompts and code content may be processed on RunPod infrastructure. No personal account information is shared with RunPod.
8. CDN, Security and Analytics
Appoven uses the following third-party service for content delivery, security, and website analytics:
- Cloudflare — Content delivery network (CDN), security, and web analytics. Cloudflare delivers website content securely and protects the platform from malicious traffic. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated website usage data such as page views and referral sources. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not track individual users, and does not collect personal data. Cloudflare operates globally with data processing facilities in multiple jurisdictions.
9. Email Services
Appoven uses the following third-party services for email communication:
- Zoho Mail — Business email hosting for @appoven.io email addresses. Used for direct communications between Appoven and users.
- Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) — Internal transactional email delivery. Used for internal system notifications and automated communications within the Appoven platform infrastructure, such as form submissions and internal alerts.
- Klaviyo — Email marketing platform, located in the United States. Used for sending marketing emails, product updates, and promotional communications to users. Your name and email address may be shared with Klaviyo if you subscribe to our mailing list or create an account. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
10. Transparency Commitment
We are committed to being transparent about the third-party services used by Appoven. As our platform evolves and regulations change, we will update this page to reflect changes in our practices. For details on how we handle your personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
